Stillwater Float on Father's Day

Fathers Day was FIRST FLOAT day for me! Here is Scott dropping off the motorcycle (our shuttle) where we will pull out. His nephew, Kirby, joined us.
Absaroke Fishing Access is where we got the raft ready to put in. The river, obviously, is the Stillwater and we will float for about 3 hours and take out on the Yellowstone River.

Ahhh, and Gus, of course, rides on the deck.
The flow of the river was about 2500 CFS (cubic feet per second). There was a few whitewater bounces!
Look how beautiful the mountains are! Still lots of snow!
Here is the gauging station that measures the river's flow.
And here is the beautiful and glorious bald eagle perched on a tree overlooking the fish in the river.
The clouds were interesting...

Pelicans flying to find a spot together. Notice the clouds? This was about 2 or 3 hours before the tornadoes hit Billings.
We followed the storm home and found this much water on our patio! (over 2 inches fell in one hour)
