Happy 9th Birthday, TT!

She was a mere 4 weeks old when we got her - such a cute little puff toy!
Always has been a little grouchy -
except when she's had some home grown catnip!

Relax -

After doing 5 concerts in a week - it's time to relax. I just want my cold to go away and perhaps it will since I've started sleeping better at night. Once more concert - for the year - it is time to relax.

Saturday

Ed loves her so much -

Chinese take-out for dinner - very tasty!
And yes, we got to watch a classic -
Scott thinks he's telling her to be a liberal Democrat, but I just think he wanted to compare hairlines!
It's amazing how much she has grown in just a week! Cathy and Ed are wonderful parents and I couldn't be any happier!

Winter Colds

We've had a great winter thus far - lots of cold, lots of snow, wind, ice - you name it, we've gotten it. It's a feeling of long, forgotten days growing up when -30 was the norm. We had to trapes through at least a foot of snow for trick or treating and 2 to 3 days without electricity was expected sometime during the course of the season. So it's good to get a little taste of that back. However, the seasonal cold is MUCH worse than I ever remember it.

Elephant standing on my chest, throat on fire, head ready to explode are just a few descriptors of how I feel and I don't ever remember the common cold making me feel this lousy when I was a tyke. Climate changes, viral changes. Indeed. Stress. It's a week before our big musical revue concert and I always end up getting sick just before it. Granted, the cold bug has been going around, but each year I come down with the exact same thing. And by the time we tour the Elementary schools, my voice will be almost completely gone. Just like clockwork. Just like the snow and the cold and every other seasonal event - it's here. Hang on, Ellie. 5 concerts in 2 weeks - you can make it! After all, it's just a cold.

March is the Month !

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your health instead of your wealth;
Love your neighbor as much as yourself.

Will you?
