The Happenings!
6am Cathy checks into the hospital. Her great nurses that explain everything and take good care of her!
Here's Ed waiting to be told to get his scrubs on -
Scott using his time wisely by playing with his new IPhone -
It's getting close to time (about 7:00am)
Ed waits patiently as they have taken Cathy to the operating room. He'll join her when they give him a call.

And at 7:55 am, Aurora came into our lives. Just look at that hair! And curly!
Proud dad - he keeps on saying, "She's just so cute!"
Mommy - so natural at it.
And then there are three.

Yes...grampa got in on the fun, as well!
Her eyes are a deep blue.
This evening, I got to spend lots of time holding her. Hard to believe she is only 12 hours old at this time!
And so little little! Beautiful little Aurora. Thank you for coming into our lives.
Now I know what SPECIAL really feels like!

Here she is!

FESTIVAL!
Today, all my private students and several of my classroom students are going to festival. This means they go perform a prepared piece in front of 2 judges for feedback - things they did well, things they need to work on. I'll be their accompanist on piano. It's a fun day for all! (Nerve-racking for most!)

Aurora
will be born on February 22nd. I told one of my classes that today and a student replied, "You're too pretty to be a gramma!" I gave him a high 5 and said, "extra credit!" lol
But in all seriousness..My grandbaby will be here in 13 days :o)

Who Has True Grit?
Campers in the wintertime -
enduring the cold -
Or is it the elk, kicking the ground, desperately trying to find something to eat beneath the frozen snow?
Or perhaps it is the mighty bison?
Maybe the real creature of TRUE GRIT is George Dog the Cat, trying to find the answer in the glass bowl.
Or is it Gus Bob - finally able to stretch out on the new leather couch?
Nope--- the creature with the TRUEST GRIT is...
TT making herself comfortable on Carol's coat!

Looking forward to today -
Your horoscope for February 1, 2011
Restlessness and boredom with your daily routine could draw you out of your usual sphere of influence today, ELLIE, and into group activities of some kind. Perhaps you've decided to take a class, or perhaps you simply need some congenial company. You could also decide to stroll through an art gallery, or attend a concert. A sports event would also be a lot of fun! Whatever you decide, this is not the evening to stay in. Get out and enjoy yourself!
And the strange thing is...Im going with my 8th graders on a field trip to the grand theatre downtown - a group called "Black Violin" is performing.
