Megs called me at 1:37 this morning...

Her contractions were 6 minutes apart lasting about 30 seconds. I picked her up, we drove around, we walked around the hospital (she's taking a little break here).
9:30 this morning, her little boy was born...5lbs 15 ounces, 18 3/4 inches long, cute little guy.

Uncle Ed came up to see him, Michelle will be here tomorrow. His oxygen level and heart rate are low, so he's in intensive care.

But we still get to see him. He's really dang cute.

And Megs, overall, is doing pretty well.

Tonight's Feature:

Into the Wild...directed by Sean Penn.
"Into the Wild" is based on a true story, and the book by John Krakauer. You can read the synopsis HERE.

Included in the website are some great pics. Make sure your speakers are on, you'll enjoy the music.

This film touched my heart for several reasons:

10. The idea of freedom with no restrictions of societie's pressures.
9. Having been to several places (like Lee's Ferry), or like them, I loved the scenery.
8. I could understand his aesthetic enjoyment of the great outdoors.
7. The music reinforced the emotions.
6. Living with an adventuresome soul, and walking away from the poisonous abuses.
5. He touched the hearts and made an impression on everyone he encountered.
4. Their lives were better because they met him.
3. His spirit, smile and outlook is so much like my son. No judgement, only acceptance.
2. His outlook was positive.
1. It was too hard watching him die because it just flooded my mind with memories of sitting next to my mother when she passed away. I cried and cried and cried when it was over. It was healing. The effects of her death still rumbles deep in my soul and it will for a very very very long time. Her spirit, smile, outlook, and love is forever with me.

You're It!

I have been tagged with the Book Cover Tag by Chewy.
Only one rule:
Go to the Advanced Book Search at Amazon.com, type your first name - or - your screen name into the "Title" field, and post the most interesting/amusing cover that shows up.

I couldn't decide which name to use, so I did both.
I searched for "Ms. Creek" which resulted in 140 books varying from non-fiction to westerns.
I liked these books best: (please ignore the "search inside!tm")

Then I plugged in "Ellie" and there were thousands of hits on books from abuse to a series about horses and on and on. I think I like this one the best! lol

I would like to pass on the tag to:
1) martini
2) lolly
3) a.bananna
4) koobies
5) Vel, LET ME KNOW!
6) Anyone else who wants to play. (Chuck, you've already been tagged!)
