"Just" the view.
Here are some more shots, random as they may be, of our week in (around) Moab. This is taken at our camping spot just south of Dead Horse rim.
Here is North and South window arches in the Arches National Park.
Gustopher Bobulous LOVED the desert hikes! And yes, it was cold enough that I had to wear my head band over my ears on each walk. It got into the 40s, but chilly windy during the day. In the morning when we got up, the temp. was usually around 18 degrees F.
I had Scott get in the picture so you can get a better idea of the grandeur of these rocks. The arches are caused not by wind and rain, as once thought. They are from the moisture in the rocks freezing, melting and when it dissipates, parts of the rock are loosened and fall off, causing the arch.
Most of the rock is either Navajo Sandstone or Entrada rock.
This is double arch.
And in Utah, the outhouses don't have roofs! (We stayed a couple nights in different campgrounds.)
More pics and narrations on a different day!
Happy Friday, tomorrow, everyone!

For Your Friday Chuckle!
Paddy had been drinking at his local Dublin pub all day and most of the night.
Mick, the bartender, says "You'll not be drinking any more tonight, Paddy".
Paddy replies "OK Mick, I'll be on my way then."
Paddy spins around on his stool and steps off. He falls flat on his face. "Shoite" he says and pulls himself up by the stool and dusts himself off. He takes a step towards the door and falls flat on his face. "SHOITE!" he cries.
He looks to the doorway and says to himself that if he can just get to the door, and some fresh air, he'll be fine. He belly crawls to the door and shimmies up to the door frame. He sticks his head outside and takes a deep breath of fresh air, feels much better and takes a step out onto the pavement landing flat on his face.
"Bejesus. . . I'm focked," says he.
He can see his house just a few doors down, so he crawls to the door, shimmies up the door frame, opens the door and collapses inside.
He takes a look up the stairs and says "No fockin' way." But he crawls up the stairs to his bedroom door chanting "I can make it to the bed."
Again he pulls himself up by the doorframe, takes a step into the room and falls flat on his face. He says "I gotta stop fockin' drinkin'," and falls into bed.
The next morning, his wife, Jess, comes into the room carrying a cup of coffee and says, "Get up Paddy. Did you have a bit too much last night?"
Paddy says, "I did, Jess, I did. I was fockin' pissed. How did you know?"
"Mick phoned. . .
You left your wheelchair at the pub again."
