Everybody's Workin' for the Weekend(s)

Last weekend we celebrated our anniversary, Ed and Cathy's birthdays (they were in Indonesia @ the time). Here's little Cathy...
Ed playing guitar. He bought this cool hat in Japan (with Chi) and you can see their house is filled with interesting knick-knacks!
Here's the 4 of us just before we left. Yes, Cathy is standing on a 6inch ledge!
This weekend, we couldn't go floating because of the rain and snow in the forecast. Well, it did rain some ans spit snow, but we decided we could still camp! So...we got to a neat spot by the river and...the wind came up. You can see how bad by the grass being blown clear over!

So we couldn't really go outside because it was miserably cold. However, we did enjoy the view!

So we hung out and read our magazines. Gus enjoyed the view, too.

And we sat at the table and munched and had a fine feast of BBQ meatballs and mashed potatoes.
But poor Gus Bob...he was getting really incredibly bored. He went out a little bit, but it wasn't fun for him either.

Finally, the winds calmed by the next morning. Here's our cute little pop-top camper!

We went for a walk along the river and Scott fished. (Yes, on a snow bank!)

We were frequently visited (on the other side of the river, albeit) by these wild geese.
And then my batteries ran out so I couldn't take any more pictures! LOL. Anyway, always fun to get out over the weekend. Hope you got to do something too!

Love loves!

Some random pics of those I love!

My two little goofy girls on their birthday!

Vel's VERY tall sunflower!
Meanie yacking on the phone (don't think his maw maw knew!)

Vel's son, Jack, visiting with our dearly beloved momma.

M&M's family late fall of 2005.

Vel's beautiful family a few years ago...(she recently blogged this pic, I love it!)

One of my FAVORITE sets of salt and pepper shakers. Jo got these for me when she want to New Jersey in the 70s.

Cliff Lake. I rowed, Ed fished. The water is incredible. Reminded me of Fremont lake.

I'm standing where the Gallitan, Jefferson and Madison come together to form the Missouri River.

Jo Jo and I frying chicken!

Jo's grandaughter, Kaylee thinking about that egg she is coloring!
Jo's daughter, Laura (lolly) and her daugher, Lizy. And I just got a text that Lolly just gave birth to Brooklyn Caroline! Congrats to all!

My kids and I laughing over something goofy!

A.bannana, husband and Rue...

Our beloved sister, Beckie. Was she a junior in high school in this pic? The one below is in front of the old elementary school in Pinedale and she must have taken Sheeba for show and tell?

Early 1940s choir in Midwest. My dad and his twin were the only boys that year. (I LOVE THIS PIC)

Ed and Cathy...

Jo, myself and Rubye (velvet ginger). Sisters.

Just went through my zillions of pics. I love my family so much and am so grateful for each one of them!

WooHoo Friday!

We got the raft all ready to go out for the year (which entails inflating it, washing it, rubbing a sun protectant all over it, strapping in the frame and screwing on the new super duper cool deck and dry boxes Scott made) and we are ready to do our first float and camp this weekend. It's supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow!

Then we checked the weather last night...

Tomorrow it is supposed to be 40 degrees and snowing...

:o( No float this weekend.

Dang it.
