:o(

So, today we decided to load up and go camping even though we had planned on staying home. It was such a beautiful day...we just couldn't resist. We headed up East Rose Bud Creek Road. You can see the mighty Beartooth Mountains still snow covered.

There are many distinct barns along the ranches...

Here's East Rose Bud Creek. We haven't ever gone up this road before. The further we drove, the more scenic it got!

We saw zillions of white tail deer.

This mountain isn't green from grass but from Mother Nature restoring itself. A few years ago, fire swept across this area and now the forest is coming back. It's really cool seeing all those cute little trees! We kept on driving, knowing there was a camp ground and a lake by the gazeteer.

Here's what we found:
A gorgeous lake surrounded by the Rosebud Landowners Association...no public access.

And a snowed-in camp ground. :o( We were disappointed because the country was so gorgeous, we wanted to hike so bad. So we packed up and headed back down, trying to find another spot. By this time, it was after 3, we hadn't eaten lunch and we both had a headache.

We did get to see some sandhill cranes!

We drove another hour or so to the next chunk of public land and found a great little spot by WEST Rosebud Creek. We got the camper set up and were both ready to enjoy a glass of water with our Advil and....the water pump in the camper wouldn't work. No water. No water filter for the creek.
So we had to head home :o(

But at least we got to see a moose.

3 Pictures:

Here are MY sunflowers! I think I am beating both BOB
and DIlly!
What do you think?

Had to take a picture of our handsome cat just hanging out this morning. I love his feet.

Who is the grouchy pouch?

We are headed out to go camping again! Have a good weekend, y'all!
