I understand that we all experience a variety of changes, be it good or bad. However, it's much easier advising a friend to keep their chin up than to actually remain strong during crisis. Nevertheless, time continues to pass and I must ask myself, " Will this tragic event chew me up and consume me?" Will I be able to look deep inside and grasp my inner strength. Can I take control, rather than letting this black hole control me? Pain? Of course, so much I dare not let myself focus on it for very long. All the lies and betrayal for how many years??? It can and would drive me mad. Karma? Perhaps.
My car and house is now refinanced in just my name. My kids and I have gotten closer. I can listen to my favorite style of music, do a jigsaw puzzle on the table and put up curtains. I wear a gorgeous opal ring. Just keeping on keeping on. But I believe it's the precious close-knit world we surround ourselves with that truly keep us uplifted when we can't find the strength. First layer - my wonderful children and family. Next, close friends I see on a daily basis. Third layer - FB and RP friends. Thank you all.
Finally, and big thanks to my dear friend for giving me my favorite gift to make for others in celebration of my refinancing yesterday.
Yes it is!
