Today,
we accepted an offer on our house today. Basically, it will pay off the existing loan and we'll end up losing a little money by paying the closing costs, but at least it is a headache that no longer exists.
Tonight, we walked by the Hallmark section of the grocery store. I saw a little "gramma" sign and broke down crying because my kids no longer have their gramma. Feeling those feelings when they come up...it's the best we can do, and consoling ourselves by all her precious memories is the only medicine that helps with the pain.
Tomorrow, if the rain subsides, we will go float for a few hours. We'll have to bundle up, but it will be nice to slowly drift past the beautiful fall colors of the cottonwoods on the Yellowstone River bottom.

Last night
was a rough one. I'm just so sad that we're never going to see our precious mother again. I feel bad that I wasn't holding her hand when she passed away. I'm afraid she forgot I was there and felt like she was alone. Tough, deep stuff.
