RP Annual Gift Swap
RP - Radio Paradise is a unique online radio station of eclectic music. There are also places to write journals for all to read, and some forum topics as well. It's heard around the world by thousands of listeners.
The community of RP listeners do things like postcard exchanges, annual gift swaps and even have social gatherings! This year I took part in the gift exchange and look what I got from a listener in the UK!
How sweet is that? Does anyone recognize the melody it's playing?

Aurora Abigail will be her name!
Cathy and Ed (my son) are expecting their baby girl around March 1st. This weekend, we went to their baby shower. As you can see, they got tons of things and I believe Ed is gonna have to get used to the color pink!
Aurora got lots of gifts for Christmas, probably more than anyone else, including a nice oak changing table. For her shower, I wanted her to get something homemade from Gramma E. So in all my spare time, I made these flannel blankets- they are a yard square and the back is also flannel, but a solid color. Nice and warm and cuddly!

After the shower, we went out for pizza dinner. Yummy food and wonderful company!
Love ya Cathy and Ed! See ya next week for your 28th birthday, son!
Below is a recipe written by my beloved mom. Rj, my sister, found it in her cook book. Yes, they are yummy and a tradition at Christmas time. It was so much fun watching mom make them, when I was a kid. When Aurora gets old enough, I believe we shall make some together using the printed out recipe from her Great Gramma Lil. :o) Traditions last as long as you allow them to and I believe this one will last a very long time. Good for Aurora and seems to keep mom close to my heart - good for my soul, as well.
I sure do miss you, mom and cherish the memories of watching you sew and cook.
